Home      Majorettes
In January 2009, when I was 5, I joined the St. Thomas Majorettes. The troupe started in October but my cool Dad used his charm and got me in. I was three months behind in learning the routines but I worked very hard and practiced every day. Within a month I caught up to the rest of the troupe. Being a majorette is awesome. I love twirling baton and being a majorette and marching in parades. One of the really cool things is that my Dad would use a stick for a baton and practice with me all the time. Sometimes we'd practice outside and  I guess it was quite a sight to see my hippie Dad practicing majorette routines with his little girl, people would stop and giggle and cheer us on. Yeah Daddy ... but you can't march in the parade.

My Very First Practice

This was the very first time I practiced with the St. Thomas Majorettes.

Practice Practice

Practice makes perfect so that's what I did. I practiced every day.

Valentines Day

On Valentines Day we got to dress up in red for practice and we had a party.

Parade Day

We marched from Emancipation Garden down the waterfront to the ballpark for the Little League tournament. I Love Parades.
